Local Coordination Agreement
The purpose of this two-year agreement is to establish roles and responsibilities of the Georgia Meth Watch coordinating agency (the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse or GCSA) and agencies implementing Meth Watch at the local or regional level.

GCSA Responsibilities
• Provide trademarked Meth Watch signage and customizable Suspicious Transaction Reports, as supplies permit.
• Provide Meth Watch training materials, including video and PowerPoint presentations.
• Maintain a website with information about the Meth Watch program and methamphetamine.
• Coordinate the Meth Watch program with state and federal law enforcement agencies, with retailer associations and corporate officers, and with the statewide, toll-free substance abuse treatment and prevention hotline, HelpLine Georgia (1-800-338-6745).
• Provide technical assistance to local agencies upon request.
• Recognize outstanding program performance.

Local Agency Responsibilities
• Provide GCSA with the number and size (large, medium, small) of retailers in the agency’s jurisdiction that sell products containing pseudoephedrine/ephedrine.
• Make a “good faith” effort to gain the participation of every retailer in the agency’s jurisdiction that sells products containing pseudoephedrine and ephedrine.
• Coordinate with GCSA and other Meth Watch partners to provide training to participating retailers.
• Make a “good faith” effort to obtain funding for additional Meth Watch signage.
• Extend participation to other businesses, such as hotels/motels, if requested.
• Designate a lead staff member to spearhead activities.
• Report successful investigations that result from Meth Watch activities to GCSA.
• Provide a summary report of program activities to GCSA every six months.
• Make no changes in the trademarked Meth Watch logo.
